Usyk v DeBois
Surely a late stoppage for Usyk?

Re: Usyk v DeBois
All this talk of the blow being "on the belt" or "on the beltline" is actually irrelevant anyway: the rules state that a low blow is one delivered "below the waist".

No mention of beltlines or belts, largely because everybody knows many boxers pull their shorts up to comedy heights, or even have shorts designed with massively high beltlines, to try to force opponents to punch higher or get soft decisions from referees.

Dubois in no way hit Usyk "below the waist" - not even close. So it should definitely have been a count.

Either way, I'm sure there would have been a rematch clause in Usyk's contract - and the champion would probably have quickly reversed any loss in the rematch. So we've been spared that.

Will Fury now fight Usyk?

Re: Usyk v DeBois
After that body blow a more experienced boxer would have thrown body shots for the rest of the fight, something DeBois was very reluctant to do. Also, the big man stood off of Usyk when he should have been leaning all over him, especially after the body blow.

A bit more experience and DeBois wins that. Still, as someone says below, that's not the fairytale ending.

Usyk did the same against Joshua. This one was much worse though.

Having said that, the way Dubois ended the fight didn’t look good. Just seemed to give up.

Agree Goose.

Dubois can feel very unlucky there. If the fight is in Britain think Usyk gets a count.

It was on the belt, not under the belt.

Having said that DuBois should have got up from that jab and gone out swinging...

Disney boxing. Opressed nation's hero recovers from the villanous low blow to maintain his world title.
No wonder Fury won't touch it with a bargepole.

Re: Usyk v DeBois
Boxing needs to sort its shit out. Its a fucking mess when they pull this sort of a stunt,

Definitely on the belt and he's a great boxer but 5 mins to recover form a belly shot makes me think he's struggling at heavyweight.

Even if Dubois wins now it will be because of a low blow. Always something very corrupt when money rules sport.

Be nice to see a shake up with these imposters not fighting each other otherwise the sport's money will see it eat itself.

That was not low.

This fight should be over.

That did not look low and the reply is dodgy , Usyk should've been counted then

Re: Usyk v DeBois
love the fact Dubois is taking tough fights and learn his trade stop worrying about being undefeated , fight everyone how boxing should be . Could be a very good fighter in his 30s Dubois.

Re: Usyk v DeBois
Fury v Usyk would be an absolute cracker, this is a mismatch unfortunately. Will be great experience for Dubois if he doesn’t get too damaged. He’s young enough to become a champion after the top 4 retire in the next couple of years
